I just wanted to know, how can we keep good and long nails.... are there any ways? I really want them and fast
| | WOMEN: how often to you polish your nails? | | I polish my nails every few days because I do a lot of house cleaning, so after about 4 days my nail polish is already chipping off. What about you? How often do you polish your nails? | |
| | Grooming | | Ladies, do you get manicures, pedicures, waxing, etc.? Do you do it regularly or is it more of a treat thing? I do get pedicures and my eyebrows waxed but both not all the time. I would love it if someone would do everything for me right down to brush my teeth, but I have a hard time paying for something I can do myself and I can polish my own toes. So, they are more of a splurge than a regular thing. I don't know what kind of grooming things men do, but if there is a way for a guy to answer this discussion, go for it.:) | |
| | what brand of nail polish do you like best? | | i am not so fond of colored nail polish, basically because my school doesnt allow colored fingernails. but, i happen to like Sally Hansen's nail-hardening nail polish in clear color. i swear by it that it really fortifies my fingernails. i like keeping my nails long because i think they look more nice that way, and Sally Hansen's nail hardening nail polish really prevents my long nails from getting broken.:) what about you, what's you fave nail polish brand? | |
| | Are You A Freebie Fanatic? | | Hi everyone,Over the last few years I have been very lucky with receiving the most useful freebies in the post. I am so addicted to them and love to see something that I will really use come through the letterbox - for free! The first really useful freebie I got was when I was pregnant second time round. And it couldn't have come on a better day. I was feeling a bit down and I got this hair care hamper set from Paul Mitchell, and it was such a treat! I don't even know how I got it as I didn't remember applying for it or entering a competition either.Since then, I get a good freebie at least once a month - mostly cosmetics mind. Rimmell and Maybelline must love me, as I get good mascaras and lip sticks from them, I also got a full sized tube of fake tan and a nail varnish from Sally Hansen.I also from time to time get great household products as freebies, like a full pack of Fairy Dishwasher tablets and I have a Febreeze set winging its' way to me one of these days. It's great because these are products I would use and normally cost an arm and a leg.The clever part is knowing where to look, so I have a few sites I visit regularly and others I receive a... | |

| | What's the last makeup you bought? | | I recently bought Sally Hansen's eye pencil from Walgreens. It was in the bargain section, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Can lose with a dollar, right? I really liked it. What about you? Any good items? | |
| | Your Nails and Nail Polish | | I like nail polish and I do my nails once every week, usually rotating different colours every week. This week I am wearing a darkish burgundy on my fingernails and the same colour on my toe nails.
There are few I have that are absolute favourites of mine and they are all different brands too.
There is one called First Blush from Sally Hansen and it makes your nails look so natural. I absolutely love that one but I have trouble finding it in the cosmetics stores.
My boyfriend bought me a shiny copper colour that looks so sweet on my nails. It's from a brand named Ruby Kisses.
I bought one that is a glazewear, it is the burgundy I mentioned and the brand name is Kusum. I like it cause it dries faster than anything!
I want to try some of those Avon nail polishes as well.
I got so many others that I like to wear too, but those three are my top favourites.
So tell me, how often do you put on nail polish?
Do you have any favourite colours or brands?
Do you like to put it on your toe nails too?
Do you go to a nail technician to get your nails done or do you do them at home? (I do mine at home)
Do you like weird colours? (I sometimes do)
Feel free to add in anything else I...
| | Today Was My Lucky Day! | | There was a 10% off, pamper evening at Superdrug tonight that I read about online on a freebies forum.I went there not expecting much, but first of all I got a skincare analysis which gave me a lot of information about what types of products I need to use as part of my skincare regime. It was really cool. Then I got a goodie bag full of make-up and skincare products amongst other things, I really got loads of stuff. Then I asked about the competition for a Sally Hansen products bag since I hadn't seen anything about it in-store, but I'd read about it online. None of the Sales Assistants seemed to know much about it and went to ask. Then the manager suddenly came over to me with a big grin on his face saying that since I was the first person to ask about it, I got it! I won!I got at least £50 worth of free nail and lip stuff and a big bottle of Calvin Klein "One Summer" fragrance! It's made my month! I can't get over it! I've got a smile a mile wide this evening! If anyone wants to join the freebie forum it's here: http://thatfreebie.com/forums/index.php?act=idxIt has freebies for the U.K. and the U.S.A. and Canada.I obviously highly recommend it! | |
| | Lip Plumper | | I think Lip Plumper is rather interesting. It's a combination of product and lip gloss that is used as an enhancement to make your lips plumper. I have naturally full lips, but during Christmas (about 5 months ago), I was checking out gift ideas for friends and as I was in Victoria's Secret, I saw in the front "Very Volumptous Lip Plumper" for about $18 and I as I was checking out what I had purchased, I asked to the sales girl, "Does this stuff work?" and she said it did. Well, I said, I am going to get one. Well, the truth is, they do. However; it's only a very minimal effect. I, then, decided to try other different kinds. I've noticed not one lip plumper or enchancement is alike at all. Some work and some don't so much, but they work great for a gloss. What I have noticed is, the effects of them all are minimal.I have tried Very Volumptous Lip Plumper, Duwop Lip Venom, Advanced No Injection Colored Lip Plumper by Patricia Wexler, MD (it's usually clear, but during the Christmas, they sold they for 2/$20), Lip Inflation by Sally Hansen, Jane Maxlip, and Mega Plump by Wet-n-Wild. I haven't tried many, but wouldn't mind trying two-faced lip venom and Lip Fusion and a... | |
