| | I painted my son's room black! | | Last Christmas, I surprised my then 13 year old son with a gallon of flat black paint. Sound strange?...... Well, he knew that I wanted to repaint his room and he had been begging me to get black paint! I just could not imagine it! I said "it will look like a dungeon!! He really persisted. Then..... I saw a photo in a magazine where a wall had been painted black but the trim was a stark white. I loved it!! I ended up painting two opposite walls black and the other two a stark white with white trim throughout the room. We have decorated now in a movie theme (movie posters, film reels, etc.) It looks great!Have you ever done something that you initially thought would be horrible, only to find that you loved it when it was done? | |

| | do you people often wear black?? | | i was asked the same question yesterday
i don't have many blacks actually, in fact i owned lots of bright colors
but recently since i gain a 'little' weight,
i wear black more often than usual LOL
black color makes us looks slimmer^^
and black looks more elegant i think
even if the outfit is just a plain one, it looks great to wear
i have one with a low v-neck, shorter sleeves and a longer body length
how about you?? | |
| | what is the last thing you wrote | | besides a post here on myLot? The last thing I wrote was a poem last night. It was about making soup and birds on my window sill (no, the birds did not go in the soup!).Kelly | |
| | i want to read but loose patience while reading the book.. | | I love bookreading..that is reading storybooks and short stories...but i m a grown up now..i need to increase my level to novels..but when i pick-up a novel to read i quickly loose interst in it and leave the book in the middle.
My mom is ffed-up of my this habit...I need a serious help on this..please do reply with sensible suggestions..thank you | |
| | Do you paint your nails? | | I try to do pedicure and manicure every 2 weeks. Before I used to go to the salon and let them do the thing. However, to save more, I'd rather to it myself, and also to avoid the pain from the manicurist. Lol So after having my nails done, I'd always want to paint my toe nails with black, or anything dark. But most of the time I Paint It black. Same goes with my fingernails. It's either painted in black or just leave it natural (not the paint). I have always like my nails done. It makes me feel beautiful and clean. Do you paint your nails too? What color would you pick?[em]wub[/em] | |

I prefer cartooning and anime/manga compared to painting realistic looking paintings so I often draw my paintings in pencil, paint it from the background to the fore ground, then re draw the lines over the paint in black marker. A fairly simple style but very effective. You don't really notice the black lines, they're obvious enough but it just makes the picture look better. Unless you're assessing it or comparing it, I feel that the black lines add to it. Anywho, what's your style of painting? | |
