I really liked the way they worked because it straightened my hair out in seconds. He told me that it wouldn't harm my hair. Has anyone ever tried these flat irons? What flat irons do you use? Do you think this flat iron wouldn't harm my hair? He said that normally they cost $150 but he'd sell it to me for $60....
| | How often do you style your hair? | | Do you do it everyday? Do you use straighterners or curling irons etc.. Is your hair dyed? For me I keep my hair natural. It's not dyed or ironed and i have naturally straight hair. A friend complained about getting split ends but she didn't realise it's from dying frequently and ironing. I don't have any split ends so it shows that i keep my hair healthy enough. | |

| | Does anyone use electric hot rollers anymore? | | I hadn't used them in years but my daughter's friend gave her some and I forgot how great they are. My daughter has very thick hair and to use a curling iron on her that will curl it right it takes hours. So we had Prom and I decided to use the rollers on her hair to save me time and it was wonderful. The curls were still there and in place when she came home in the morning. I know curling irons are fast and easy but they just don't work like the old hot rollers do. So do you still use them? | |
| | Curling Iron in the Freezer! Kids....what next? | | My daughter was getting ready to head out of town today. Her best friends grand mother has passed away and the funeral is tomorrow. She had curled her hair and had packed a bag, but had forgotten to turn off the curling iron. So, she put the curling iron in the freezer to cool so she could pack it. Well, she left. I was out and about running some errands and she calls me on my cell and says: hey mom, are you at home? well, when you get there, could you get my curling iron out of the freezer?:-) I forgot about it.
Well, alrighty then.......
So what have you or someone in your family done that is really off the wall lately?

This season is all about a clean finish. Whether it's a glamorous wave;bouncy curls or a disheveled texture, fuzz and frizz are no-no's. Style pro
Sam Brocato has several secrets for stylish endings. "When applying styling
products," he suggests, "rub them between your palms, and then work them
into the back of your hands like hand cream." As you rake your hands
through the hair, he explains, you'll get better strand coverage. Another
Sam fave-use a firm hold gel as your styler when working with curling irons,
rollers or pincurls. "The texture will be solid and crisp and will repel
humidity." Finally, says Sam, "Use your styling products like a chef in the
kitchen. Mix up a custom formula for each hair type and style."Credit: behindthechair.comIn light of the new season, are you thinking of a new style or cut or colour to your hair?
I am probably going to colour mine again, since I am feeling a bit better now![em]happy[/em]
| | | Do you change your hair style often? | | My friends often tease me for maintaining the same hair style. It is the same for me since my birth. So, i thought i can ask you all and probably go to some parlour and ask them which style suits me. But i do use gels and other things on my hair.
Do you have enough time to change your hair styles often? How important is it for you and how often you do it?
| | What would your hair look like if you didn't comb it for a few days? | | Last night I tried out a new conditioner. And, even though it smelled amazing (Ocean Breezes), the result was not so good. It made my hair swell out. That's what I get for going cheap with beauty. So, today my hair is sticking out everywhere and I can't find my hair brush! So, you can just imagine what my hair looks like. My spouse hasn't complained yet. (He's too sweet to do that and he knows better.) For now, I'm just keeping my hair tied back in a pony tail until I can locate my hair brush. This would be considered the mother of all bad hair days. So, what would your hair look like if you tried out a new beauty product and it didn't work and then couldn't find your hair brush or comb? Would your hair stick out in all directions or be limp and unmanageable? Have you ever lost your hair brush and not been able to comb your hair for days? | |
