| | Do you use a body moisturizing cream or a body oil after your bath/shower? | | A few weeks back I stopped using my regular body lotion. Now I mix a teaspoon of almond oil into a mug of water and pour it over my body as a final rinse. This is not only much cheaper for me than buying the body lotion from the store, but it works much better on my skin than the lotion did.How about you? Do you use a lotion/oil which you bought from the store on your body after a bath/shower, or do you make your own homemade lotion/oil like I do? | |

I am confused when body oil scores over glycerine, again and again in almost all the megazines and TV shows. My skin feels dry even after applying body oil, as I use soap everyday.

| | | | The Scent of a Woman.............or Man.......;) | | I have a very sensitive nose and to top it off I'm extremely sensitive to chemicals as well. I had to stop using perfumes, many years ago as they would break me out, or I could only wear them spritzed on my hair. I noticed that, now, chemical perfumes are VERY noticable to me and VERY unappealing. It's as if I can't get past the chemical smell, they just smell...well...manufactured. So...I started wearing essential oils instead, they don't break me out and I've a few that are my favorites. I really loved the scent of Patchouli, but the last 2 bottles that I bought stunk! I really think something was wrong with them because they just do NOT smell like I am used to. I have natural patchouli soap and a body cream that smell lovely. I'm really thinking I got 2 bum bottles. Now...all that to say, I'm interested in exploring new scents. I don't like powdery or really sweet smells. But without going to a perfumery, who mixes oils, I'm a bit limited. I'm wondering what scents might mix well together...what should I try?Any suggestions?

| | Frugality and a Bottle of Lotion | | Just read an article about extreme cheapskates. It mentioned a woman who cuts lotion bottles in half to get the last bit out.
A few weeks ago I noticed my hand lotion was about out and went to see if I had another bottle, which I did. I placed the new bottle next to the old one, not throwing the old away just yet, I wanted to get the last bit out first. Well, I've been getting "the last bit" to sputter out for about two weeks now. I was really suprised it had that much left in it. Now I am inspired to get even more. So when I can't get any more lotion from this bottle I'm going to cut it open and see how much more there is.

| | usage of soap in daily basis | | i simply cant stop myself from using soap everyday. I feel I have not taken a shower at all.The result is a rough skin. Though i dab some oil after that butit doesnot help that much since its winter now.I use a moisturising cream soap but guess if it really contains any moisturiser in it.
can you suggest some mild soap | |

I love going to the Bath and Body Works and see what they have out new and also keeping on an eye of the original stuff they carry hoping something else I like won't be taken off the shelves.
I started using their body butters for my feet heels and elbows.
Since these seem to be the drier parts of our bodies I like the thicker texture of the body butter.
the rest of my skin I love the lotion as it feels like your skin is soaking it up.So I was wondering what you prefer the Lotions or Body Butters and why?Oh and by the way...Bath and Body Works come out with a summertime fragrance called Ice Tea Twist
It really is a neat fragrance for summertime
I just had to get a bottle.
Has a lemony scent to it if you like lemon.
